A Look Back at 2017

We've had an amazing 2017 at Forbidden Planet!

It's been a bumper year for signings and for in-store events, and we've had a couple of celebrity guests. We've seen Superman in London, a racoon in our marquee, and a brand new store opening in Newcastle - complete with a gallery in which we've been proud to display some our favourite comics art.

We were very happy to welcome back Joe Sugg, signing Username: Uprising...

...as well as Stuart Ashen, and his Flickering Skeletons!

We've had a couple of other special guests, as well, including Spider-Man director Jon Watts (pictured here with stunt double Chris Simcox), Superman Henry Cavill, Ghost Rider Gabriel Luna, and the cast of The Tick!

Not to mention a couple of well-known faces from a show a little closer to home...

We've also had some great guests at Head Office - like Jock, coming in to sign our fantastic Giclees...

It's been a year of many signings and adventures, with an array of fabulous events, including visits from authors Brandon Sanderson, Robin Hobb, Peter V Brett, V E Schwab, Cory Doctorow, Ben Aaronovitch and Adam Hargeaves...

...and not forgetting the Warlocks themselves, Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone!

Comics artists and writers have included Dan Abnett, Kieron Gillen, Marc Ellerby, Alison Sampson, Dan Slott and Armando Ianucci. And here's Christian Ward, signing our exclusive variant cover of Black Bolt...

But there's been more than just signings - as you can see from Rick and Morty Day at our London Megastore...

...from the great cosplay at Batman - sorry - Harley Quinn Day...

...and from our fabulous Rocket Raccon who worked so hard at West End Live.

And - of course - we've opened a brand new Megastore in Newcastle, complete with its own in-store gallery for classic comics art...

We've had a great year, and we're looking forward to an even better 2018 - you can find new events for the New Year already listed on our website!
