Amid great fanfare, Forbidden Planet London opens its new 'Cult Entertainment Megastore' on Shaftesbury Avenue in London's West End. Boasting 10,000 square feet of floorspace, over a mile of shelving and some 25,000 products, it stocks a wide variety of science fiction and fantasy-related magazines, comics, books, toys and merchandise.
