FORBIDDEN PLANET CAMDEN OPENS ON SATURDAY APRIL 5th 2025!

Following Forbidden Planet's purchase of 18 Inverness Street's legendary Mega City Comics, the store will re-open as Forbidden Planet Camden on Saturday April 5th 2025!

Here’s an update from Forbidden Planet's owners, Vivian Cheung & Nick Landau: 

“We'll be relaunching this vital Camden institution - with a bang! - on Saturday April 5th 2025.

We're giving away a range of amazing comic-book freebies - first come, first served and while stocks last - courtesy of Dark Horse and Titan Comics!

Plus: we have an all-star line-up of UK comic creators joining us at the store to celebrate our launch day with exclusive signings:

From 2pm to 3pm, Camden comics fans can meet with award-winning comics writers Ram V and Al Ewing who'll be signing copies of Al's ABSOLUTE GREEN LANTERN #1 and Ram’s RESURRECTION MAN: QUANTUM KARMA #1!

From 4pm to 5pm, our old friend and all-time global comics art legend Dave Gibbons will be making a rare Camden visit and signing his legendary work (including, of course, his signature creation WATCHMEN).

And that's really just the beginning!

Throughout April 2025, Forbidden Planet Camden will be showcasing all of the new store elements that will be revolutionising Inverness Street and making Camden Town even cooler than it already is (if that were possible).”

Manga Week - begins Saturday April 12th

We'll be spotlighting Forbidden Planet's famed 3-for-2 Manga deal plus carrying an amazing spectrum of freebies - first come first served and while stocks last - from Viz, Seven Seas, Tokyo Pop and Titan Manga!

Merchandise Week - begins Saturday April 19th

We'll be showcasing Forbidden Planet's amazing range of store exclusive collectibles and unique Japanese merchandise, while offering spectacular free items - first come first served and while stocks last!

Trading Card Week - begins Saturday April 26th

Forbidden Planet is the UK's primary retailer of white-hot collectible card games & trading cards and we'll be featuring amazing free items - first come first served and while stocks last - from our friends at Pokémon and Wizards of the Coast.

Comic Book Week - begins Saturday May 3rd

All of this leads into Free Comic Book Day on Saturday May 3rd, 2025! 

Forbidden Planet Camden will be hosting Free Comic Book Day on Saturday May 3rd from 10am onwards. Each Camden customer will receive a free bag of comics for Free Comic Book Day, with both adult and family-friendly bags available!
