If you’re doing your Christmas shopping at Forbidden Planet, then read on – this is all the stuff you need to know!


How late will your stores be open during the festive season?

We aim to keep our stores open so you can grab the best geek gifts. You can find all of our stores’ opening hours, including our extended hours during the festive season, listed on our website here

Are all the items on your website available in every store?

Our stores hold different levels of stock to our website. If you would like to know whether an individual store stocks a particular item, please give the store in question a ring. You can find the numbers and addresses of all stores here.


If I’m shopping on-line, when are the last dates for placing orders?

In the UK, the last order date for Christmas delivery is Wednesday 16th December. You can find more details, and the last order dates for international Christmas delivery, listed on our website here. Please make sure that you place any Christmas orders in good time. 

If I have something on pre-order, will it be delivered on time?

If you have an item on pre-order, and that item is due into our Warehouse before the last Christmas order date, then we should be able to deliver it to you on time.

There are times that the suppliers of our products change the dates that they deliver to our Warehouse, and this will change the date of your pre-order. Should your pre-order date change, we will inform you as soon as possible.

I’d like an item, but its pre-order date is after the last posting deadline. If I order it anyway, will it arrive on time?

We will be delivering orders right up until Christmas, however we cannot guarantee a Christmas delivery for any pre-order items due into our warehouse after Wednesday 16th December.

If I have a question about my order, what do I do?

If you have a query, please email us on with your order number. We will do our best to answer any query that you send to us.

If you have a query about something bought at a store, please contact the store in question. You can find the stores’ details here.

When will I get a response to my email?

We anticipate higher levels of contact and communication over the Christmas period – but we will do our best to email you back within two to three working days. Please be patient, and wait for us to get back to you. Please do not send repeated emails with the same query.


If I need something at the last minute, what do I do?

All is not lost! We offer both Gift Vouchers, useable in stores, and eVouchers, usable online.  

How do I buy Gift Vouchers?

Gift Vouchers are available to buy both on our website, and in our stores. We offer Gift Vouchers in £5, £10 and £20 values and you can redeem them at any of our stores. Gift Vouchers cannot be used online. You can buy Gift Vouchers on our website here

How do I buy eVouchers?

An eVoucher is an easy way for you to send a friend or relative a gift. The eVoucher takes the form of an email, which you can personalise to suit the recipient or occasion. This email contains a code that can be redeemed online at, allowing the recipient to choose an item or items of their choice. You can buy, and redeem eVouchers on our website here
