Which one is your favourite? Has the best toy of 2011 been left out? Let us know in the comments!

[Militaries Of Star Wars: Blackhole Stormtrooper]

25. Star Wars: Militaries Of Star Wars: Blackhole Stormtrooper

As the elite troops of Agent Blackhole, the Blackhole troopers (or Shadow Stormtroopers) are a super elite force. Equipped with stealth armour, they were often provided as reinforcements to the regular run-of-the-mill Stormtroopers. Seriously, just look at how cool they are, regular Stormtoopers are pretty cool (although they can't shoot straight) but dressed in black? Totally badass.

[Series 1 Action Figures: Michonne]

24. Walking Dead: Series 1 Action Figures: Michonne

This Michonne figure comes with a drill. To anyone who hasn't read The Walking Dead, that might seem like an odd choice when paired with a katana, but to those of us who have read it, well, it's a pretty awesome accessory for an action figure. It was a tough choice to put this on the list over the Rick Grimes figure, so I imagined who would win in a fight - Michonne won, obviously.

[Action Figure Collectors Set: The Caves Of Androzani (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)]

23. Doctor Who: Action Figure Collectors Set: The Caves Of Androzani (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)

From one of the greatest serials in Doctor Who history comes this great set, featuring the deformed genius Sharaz Jek and the Fifth Doctor's beautiful companion Peri. If you haven't seen The Caves Of Androzani, go see it now! And then buy this set once you have!

[Hot Toys Deluxe Action Figure: Ghost Rider With Hellcycle]

22. Ghost Rider: Hot Toys Deluxe Action Figure: Ghost Rider With Hellcycle

There isn't a person on this earth who doesn't love Nicolas Cage, so everyone will love this super realistic Nicolas Cage figure.

Oh, and I think it comes with a bike or something.

[Bump & Go Cybermat]

21. Doctor Who: Bump & Go Cybermat

It's already in our best Doctor Who Goodies list, but that doesn't make it any less of an awesome toy!

The Cybermat is able to run around the house and change direction when it comes into contact with something - it may also act as a scout to incoming Cybermen, but that has been unconfirmed by the manufacturers. It looks great and is the same size and scale as the one featured in 'Closing Time', so it makes the perfect addition to your Craig Owens costume! (I guess it's more likely people will have an 11th Doctor Costume, but there might be one or two die hard Craig Owens fans out there!)

[Legacy: Series 1 Action Figures: Arkham Batman & Two-Face 2-Pack]

20. Batman: Legacy: Series 1 Action Figures: Arkham Batman & Two-Face 2-Pack

Arkham City was brilliant, but due to the limitations of modern technology the game can only be played on a console or a computer. Thankfully, we have these figures to help with our withdrawal from the game when we're in the real world.

While Arkham City's Two-Face may have been a bit inneffectual in person, appearing only twice to get beaten up by Catwoman, his presence was felt throughout the game as various thugs and criminals discussed his plays for power. Depicted in his traditional white and black suit and looking as menacing as ever, Two-Face comes with his trademark coin. Batman is wearing his costume as seen in the game. Both look cool and you can spend hours recreating scenes from the Courthouse, or you can fill in the gaps after the first game when Batman speeds off to apprehend Two-Face!

[Talking Action Figures: Bender]

19. Futurama: Talking Action Figures: Bender

Surely Bender is everyone's favourite Futurama character? Well, to be honest i'm a fan of Slurms McKenzie, but considering he's only in one episode and he dies at the end, I guess Bender is better. The Mexican, beer drinking, cigar smoking Robot is now a cool figurine (he's been a figurine before but this one is cooler) that speaks some choice quotes from the show!

[Masterworks Action Figures: Sentinel]

18. Marvel Universe: Masterworks Action Figures: Sentinel

One of the X-Men's most recognisable villians, even if people only remember them as 'those big purple robots', they've appeared in comics and games, they were a prominent villain in the 90's animated series and they even had a very brief cameo in the films!

It wouldn't do the Sentinels justice to make a normal sized figurine of them, so that's why we have an giant sized figurine, complete with a normal sized Wolverine, so you can pretend to be Colossus and throw him at the robot's head.

[Hot Toys Deluxe Action Figures: Berserker Predator]

17. Predators: Hot Toys Deluxe Action Figures: Berserker Predator

You know that super cool, super realistic figure with tons of accesories and interchangable bodyparts? Chances are it was from Hot Toys. Now imagine a super cool Hot Toys Figure of a Predator. Imagine all the cool stuff it would come with - shoulder cannons, blades, armour, masks. Now imagine it actually existed. Actually, you don't have to, because it does. Awesome.

[Ultimate FX Lightsaber: Wave 1: Darth Vader]

16. Star Wars: Ultimate FX Lightsaber: Wave 1: Darth Vader

pssssshhwwwwwwww wwwwwaaaaaaoooooommmmmmm wwwwwaaaaaaaooooooommmmmm kkooooorrrrr ppaaaaaaaaa kkoooooooorrrrrrr ppaaaaaaaaaaa wwwwwaaaaaoooommmmmmmm wwwaaaaaaaaoooooommmmmm kachow bzzzzzzzzzzztttt

This lightsaber does have it's own noises, but we all know you'll be making them yourself.

[Basic Roleplay Set]

15. Thundercats: Basic Roleplay Set

When I was young, I had a friend who owned a plastic Sword of Omens, and because of it I thought he was really cool. Now I am much cooler than him, because now I not only have the Sword of Omens, but Lion-O's Claw Shield! Now all I need is a blue one piece swimsuit.

Thunder! Thunder! Thunder! Thundercats! HOOOOOOOOOOOO!

[Action Figures: Deadpool]

14. Marvel Select: Action Figures: Deadpool

So I read about this Deadpool guy and he seems to be just a parody of Deathstroke. Boring. Pass.

Just kidding! Arguably one of Marvel's most popular characters, with the ability to appear in what seems like every single comic book ever printed, it's about time the Merc with a Mouth had his own Marvel Select figure. With guns and knives and swords and a bit of wall to stand next to, this is without doubt the best figurine of a fictional Canadian released this year.

How great was he in Wolverine? I loved it when they stitched up his mouth and he had knives that came out his arms. Brilliant. What? Oh, ok... I'll get my coat.

[Mini Figures: Series 5]

13. Lego: Mini Figures: Series 5

Boy, Lego characters sure have changed since I was a kid - I was lucky if they came with all their limbs. Now they've got all kinds of cool accessories, like bearskin hats, axes, even monkeys! There's Vikings, Aerobics Instructors, Lumberjacks, Gladiators - a far cry from the mishapen lumps of plastic we had back in my day!

[Reach: Series 2 Action Figures: Kat]

12. Halo: Reach: Series 2 Action Figures: Kat

Master Chief is pretty cool, but sadly he doesn't have an awesome robot arm. All the cool people have robot arms; Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader, The Terminator (he had a robot everything, but it still counts), Inspector Gadget, err that guy Will Smith played in I, Robot, one of the bad guys in Live and Let Die. Ok maybe there are some people with robot arms who aren't cool, fortunately Catherine-B320 aka Kat is here to help the cause, with here badass armour and signature magnum.

[Hot Toys Deluxe Action Figure: Ezio]

11. Assassin's Creed 2: Hot Toys Deluxe Action Figure: Ezio

While Ezio's story may have ended this year, the legacy of the Italian Master Assassin will live on for a very long time. Much like how the legacy of this figurine will last - it has literally everything! It has 30 points of articulation, comes with a complete set of weapons, has interchangable hands for holding different items, it even has a detachable ponytail. Have you ever had a figurine with a detachable ponytail? Didn't think so. Much like Mr Auditore da Firenze himself, this figurine may be one of the coolest things to have ever come out of the Renassaince.

[Lego: Krusty Krab Adventures]

10. SpongeBob SquarePants: Lego: Krusty Krab Adventures

Like all the great movie franchises, Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Batman, Lord Of The Rings, it was only a matter of time before Spongebob Squarepants was turned into Lego. Recreate the adventures of the inhabitants of Bikini Bottom with this cool set featuring Spongebob, Patrick Star and Mr Krabs, as well as Mr Krabs' restaurant and Spongebobs place of employment - The Krusty Krab!

[KRE-O Construction Set: Optimus Prime]

9. Transformers: KRE-O Construction Set: Optimus Prime

Transformers are cool. Maybe not as cool as that Shia Lebeouf, but pretty cool. But after almost 20 years, it's possible they're starting to lose their edge. Thankfully the Kre-O range puts a new spin on the whole transforming thing. Instead of twisting and flipping things around, Optimus must be deconstructed before he can turn into a truck. What? It's nothing like Lego, it's Kre-O.

[Play Arts Kai Action Figures: Combat Evolved Master Chief]

8. Halo: Play Arts Kai Action Figures: Combat Evolved Master Chief

Who doesn't like Master Chief? I'll tell you who, Playstation owners. And aliens. But even they would struggle to hate this cool action figure of the badass Spartan-II Super Soldier, featuring multiple sets of hands and weaponry.

[Classics: Series 2 Action Figures: Dex, Desportellis & B'Dg]

7. Green Lantern: Classics: Series 2 Action Figures: Dex, Desportellis & B'Dg

While Hal Jordan might be considered the greatest Green Lantern, he's never going to be as cool as an anthropomorphic squirrel. Much like how Sinestro and Atrocitus might be the leaders of their respective Corps, but they'll never be a self aware super virus or a housecat that spits blood! This set features some of the more unique members of the various Lantern Corps, and while I'm still waiting for a scale model of Mogo, it's unlikely there'll be a set like this again for a while!

[Winchester Action Figure Two-Pack]

6. Shaun Of The Dead: Winchester Action Figure Two-Pack

Arguably one of the funniest and most iconic British films to have come out in recent years, Shaun Of The Dead deserves some top quality figures. Like these ones.

Featuring Shaun at his zombie killing peak brandishing his Winchester Rifle, and Ed weilding a spade and a, er, Playstation controller, these are some seriosly awesome toys.

[Lego: Millennium Falcon]

5. Star Wars: Lego: Millennium Falcon

I had thought about crowbarring Lego references into Star Wars quotes, but I couldn't seem to make it work: "It made the kessel run in less than 12 bricks", "That's no moon, that's a Lego!", "She's the fastest hunk of construction toy in the galaxy", "Brick the brick, Brick!" See what I mean? Awful. But while the merging of Lego and Star Wars doesn't particularly work when it comes to quotes, when it comes to everything else, it's pretty spectacular. Like this Millenium Falcon, just a regular Millenium Falcon is cool, but a Lego one? Awesome. Complete with a whole cast of characters, this Corellian Engineering Corporation YT-1300 stock light freighter is just briliant.

[1:4 Scale Action Figures: Predator (Closed Mouth Version)]

4. Predator: 1:4 Scale Action Figures: Predator (Closed Mouth Version)

Ok, so the Hot Toys predator is pretty cool. But imagine a GIANT PREDATOR!!! Well, it's not giant, but it's pretty big, about 1.5ft tall! Which is giant compared to a regular predator figure.

[Action Figure Collectors Set: The Chase (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)]

3. Doctor Who: Action Figure Collectors Set: The Chase (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)

Chances are if you're looking at this list you probably have some form of Dalek toy, but it's pretty unlikely that you'll own a Mechanoid, which is why you need this set! Yes, that's right, you need it - two Daleks and a Mechanoid with shooty flame bits!

[Plush: Companion Cube]

2. Portal: Plush: Companion Cube

Has anyone tried explaining the Companion Cube to someone who has never played Portal? "It's a box that you use to solve puzzles. No it doesn't talk, you just sort of pick it up and move it around. It's really just a box with a heart on it. Then you have to burn it and you feel sad."

Like much of Portal it only really makes sense when you play it, much like how turning the Cube into a plush toy makes perfect sense! While it probably won't help you weigh down any switches, it will provide comfort and reassurance despite only having a very low level of sentience.

[Set: Personalise Your Sonic Screwdriver]

1. Doctor Who: Set: Personalise Your Sonic Screwdriver

If Lego has taught us anything, it's that things are more fun if you build them yourself. Take the humble Sonic Screwdriver for example - yes, it may have a million and one uses, but if everyone has the exact same copy, it starts to get a bit boring - thankfully, we have this fantastic set which allows you to combine different parts together to create a unique screwdriver. You can make a copy of the 11th Doctor's Screwdriver if you want, but wouldn't it be more fun to have one with a head that swivels? Or a steampunk-esque handle?
