A wish list allows you to create a list of products you are interested in at forbiddenplanet.com. You can then make this list public, allowing you to give access to your friends and family. Products bought for you on the list will be marked as such so you don’t receive the same gift twice!

Click the Wish List button at the top of every page – there is also a Wish List button on your customer account page. Also, if you are logged in to your account, you will see the ‘Add To Wish List’ option on every item.

If you have previously shopped on our website, you will already have an account page. If you don’t have an account, just create one, when prompted, as you create your Wish List. Don’t worry – it’s really easy and you don’t have to buy anything!

This is your default wish list that products are automatically added to. Every time you click a new item to add to your Wish List, it will be added to your Main List.

From there, you are able to move products between lists using the “Move to another list” option for each product on your Wish List.

You are able to re-name your Main List - more on this below - but it will still always be flagged as ‘My Main List’.

Any item that is added to a Wish List will also display a pull down menu of all of your other lists - select the List you want to transfer the item on to and then hit the ‘Move To New List’ and it will move over to the selected list right away.

A public list has a unique link which can be emailed to friends and family to allow them access to your list. Great for Christmas and birthdays!

A private list can only be accessed by yourself while logged onto forbiddenplanet.com. Just keep this one as a reminder of the goodies you are keeping an eye on!

Once you are logged in, you can add items to your list by visiting the product pages throughout forbiddenplanet.com and clicking the “Add to Wish List” button below the buy button.

Yes. You can have up to ten Wish Lists, one for all occasions. To create a new one click the “Add a new Wish List” link in the side navigation on your Wish List page.

Keep track of your lists by giving them names - click onto the ‘Manage This List’ button to name them.

Each list has an individual button marked ‘Manage this List’. From here, you can re-name your list, flag it as Public or Private and add the Suprise option. The Suprise option? There is more on this later on!

You can also add date options for Christmas, birthdays or your other gift giving occasions. Keep reading for further details.

There is also an option to the left of the screen - below your Wish Lists - marked ‘Manage Your Wish List’. This will enable you see the status of all of your Lists, and re-name your list, flag it as Public or Private and add the Suprise option. You also have the option to change which List is designated as your Main List.

Yes. The address you add to your Wish List will be made available as a delivery address to people buying items from your list. The address will not be viewable to these people and will not be made public in anyway. If you decide to remove the address from your Wish List we may need to hold onto it in the case that someone is using it as a delivery address [See notes below on Passing on your Wish List].

Please note that you do not need to provide a delivery address - but, without one, people will not be able to send gifts directly to you.

To delete your Wish List delivery address, click “Edit Address” in the top navigation of your wish list. Then click “Delete address” and confirm the deletion. We may need to hold onto this address in the case that someone is using it as a delivery address. It will not be publicly available.

Well - we don’t think they should!

Under the ‘Manage This List’ options, you can click an option to make that List your Christmas Wish list. Not only will it automatically be named as such but it will also add an alert date for this year’s last delivery time.

If an item is due to arrive in our Warehouse after our last mailing date, it can still be added to your Christmas Wish List - and still be ordered by another person - but it will be marked with a note to advise both you and them that it may not be delivered in time for the big day.

Similary, under the ‘Manage This List’ option, you are able to add your own birthday and the system will automatically add an order deadline of one week before to allow plenty of time for your goodies to be ordered and delivered.

To remove a product from your wish list simply use the “Remove” link in the bottom right of the product.

To delete your Wish List, click “Manage this list” in the top navigation of your wish list. Then click “Delete Wish List” and confirm the deletion.

To move from one Wish List to another you can use the side navigation on the Wish List page, selecting the Wish List you wish to move to from the list.

Once you create a public Wish Lists, the system automatically creates a web-link at the top of the page. Just copy and paste into an e-mail, Twitter, Facebook page etc. and drop those hints to your loved ones!

If you don’t see the link, go into the ‘Manage This List’ button and make sure you have clicked the option to make the list Public.

Anyone buying from your Wish List will be given the option to order the items to be delivered to their own address or directly to you.

Much as they may love you, your address will not be viewable to these people and will not be made public in any way. If you decide to remove the address from your Wish List we may need to hold onto it in the case that someone is using it as a delivery address.

Please note that your friends and family must buy from your Wish List and not from the main site, otherwise the items will not be removed from your list.

This option will hide from you that a product has been purchased on your Wish List. That way your gifts will be a surprise!

Once someone makes a purchase from your Wish List, the ‘Buy’ button is removed so that no one else can purchase that item from that list.

If you decide to buy an item that has already been purchased for you, you will be notified by a message flag as you try to buy!
