We are happy to announce that Alan Hebden will be joining us to sign copies of his new book Clash of the Guards at Forbidden Planet London Megastore on Saturday 15th July! 2023 from 2:00pm - 3:00pm!

Alan Hebden is one of British comics’ most legendary writers. One of the key creators behind the legendary Battle Picture Weekly, the title that changed comics in the mid-1970s, Hebden co-created “Major Eazy" and "El Mestizo" with Carlos Ezquerra, "Fighting Mann" with Cam Kennedy, and "The General Dies at Dawn" with John Cooper. He went on to work extensively for 2000 AD, including "Meltdown Man" with Massimo Belardinelli, and continues to work for Commando.

Clash of the Guards is one of his key stories for Battle, set in Italy during the darkest days of World War Two.

The United States Army have sent Captain Brad Clash to join a British platoon in order to learn from their experiences of fighting in WWII. A former Hollywood stuntman and speedway driver, Clash is a man of action who likes to tackle the enemy head on. All guts and glory, he uses his superior driving skills and American-made weapons, like the Winchester trench Gun, to keep the German Army at bay. Out on 19 July, this gorgeous collection of Alan Hebden's Clash of the Guards features the art of the legendary Boba Fett and Judge Dredd artist Cam Kennedy.
