To celebrate the launch of THE OUTCAST HOURS, Forbidden Planet and Rebellion Publishing invite you to a very special event at The Phoenix Artists’ Club. Join editor Jared Shurin, and contributors M. Suddain, Will Hill, Lavie Tidhar, Louis Greenberg and Marina Warner for a live Q&A and an interactive discussion about the stories of the anthology. 

Tickets cost £10 (concessions £8), and are available from The Phoenix Artists’ Club website. This will include a copy of THE OUTCAST HOURS, signed by the guests. Take time to have a drink at the bar, speak to the contributors about their work, and browse our ranges of other titles, available on the night! 

Marina Warner's novels include The Lost FatherIndigo and The Leto Bundle, and she has published three collections of short stories, most recently Fly Away Home. Her critical studies focus on myth and fairytale, in such books as Stranger Magic: Charmed States and The Arabian Nights (winner of the National Book Critics Circle award, the Sheykh Zayed Prize and the Truman Capote award). She is Professor of English and Creative Writing at Birkbeck College, Professorial Research Fellow at the School of Oriental and African Studies, a Fellow of the British Academy, and was elected President of the Royal Society of Literature in 2017. In 2015, she was awarded the Holberg Prize in the Arts and Humanities, and in 2017 she was given a World Fantasy Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Louis Greenberg is half of S. L. Grey (with Sarah Lotz) responsible for five novels so far, including The Mall and The Apartment. Louis is a Johannesburg- bred author and editor currently living in England.  He edited Home Away, a collaboration by 24 writers set in a single, global day. And his latest novel, Green Valley, is appearing in German in 2018 and English in 2019.

Lavie Tidhar is the author of the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize winning and Premio Roma nominee A Man Lies Dreaming (2014), the World Fantasy Award winning Osama (2011) and of the Campbell Award winning and Locus and Clarke Award nominated Central Station (2016). His latest novels are Unholy Land (2018) and his first children’s novel, Candy (2018). 

Will Hill is an author and screenwriter. His most recent novel, After The Fire, won the YA Book Prize in 2018 and was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal. 

Jared Shurin is the co-editor (with Mahvesh Murad) of The Outcast Hours. He edited or co-edited over a dozen anthologies of original fiction, including The Djinn Falls in Love, The Lowest Heaven, and The Best of British Fantasy (coming 2019)He has been a finalist for the World Fantasy, Locus, Shirley Jackson and Hugo Awards, and twice won the British Fantasy Award.
