Nassir is the most feral of the Seven, a powerful group of vampires and angels. As rumours emerge of a plot to murder the Archangel of Persia, Nassir is dispatched to find him. The Archangel is lost to the Sleep of the Ancients and only Nassir has the tracking skills needed to find him – more common to predatory animals than man.
Accompanying him is Andromeda, a young angelic scholar harbouring dangerous secrets. Fascinated by Nassir’s sensual but brutal nature, Andromeda finds herself questioning all she knows. As they race to find the Archangel she will be tempted to walk into his world of magnificent darkness. First, however, they must overcome an enemy vicious enough to break the greatest angelic taboo. An enemy who could plunge the world into a living nightmare.
Nalini Singh was born in Fiji and raised in New Zealand. She spent three years living and working in Japan, and travelling around Asia before returning to New Zealand - although she's always plotting new trips. She has worked as a lawyer, a librarian, a candy factory general hand, a bank temp and an English teacher, not necessarily in that order. Some people might call that inconsistency, but she calls it grist for the writer's mill.
