Scott Lynch is an American fantasy author, best known for his award-winning Gentleman Bastard series. Before becoming a writer, he held a variety of jobs, including a dishwasher, waiter, web designer, freelance writer, and office manager. His first novel, The Lies of Locke Lamora, was published by Orion Books in 2005. Along with his writing, Lynch is a volunteer firefighter, certified for Minnesota and Wisconsin.
