Halloween in Tokyo, and the weather is relatively mild: 76.2 degrees Celsius, or 169 degrees Fahrenheit. Earth is bathed in deadly UV radiation, driving humans underground. But the surface isn’t deserted. Citizens use neural links to control hardy, robot versions of themselves called Re: Anima.

The organization maintaining order in this new urban landscape is the Enforcement Bureau. Shinano uses her exceptionally strong and agile Re: Anima to catch the bad guys. Kara is quick and able, too but his body is flesh and blood!
