Originally based on 23 Denmark Street (aka ‘Tin Pan Alley’) Forbidden Planet was one of the first wholly comic book shops in the UK - and grew from there to become the leading retailer in popular culture.

A truly British phenomena, so much so that director Danny Boyle included the shop’s bag in a prominent scene from his 1994 film Shallow Grave.
