Doctor Who: Action Figures: 7th Doctor & Classic Electronic TARDIS- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsExcellent!, - By Jakeobb
Can't wait to get my mits on this, it looks excellent and the attention to detail on both the Doctor and the old school Tardis is exceptional.
I only wish I could of had things like this when I was young..... Never mind though I can be a sad old man and buy them now! Having said that though only adults can afford them so a man in his 30's is clearly the target market.
Well done and keep em coming, although try and space out each release eh? We're not made of money!
Doctor Who: Action Figure Set: The 11 Doctors- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsWell packaged beautiful collection!, - By Jakeobb
And to top it all off it's incredibly reasonably priced! When I was sent the link I had a moment where I sucked the air in through my teeth dreading that this gorgeous set was going to cost a small fortune, but I can't tell you how relieved I was when I saw the price. It's an absolute bargain!
I can't wait to get my hands on it. The attention to detail looks great, God at 30 years old this probably shouldn't make me so excited, but it does!
Doctor Who: Flight Controlled TARDIS- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsOne star off 5 because...., - By Jakeobb
....it doesn't have a light in the interior!
Other than that it's just lovely, really nice glossy paint job and it looks ace in the packaging. I'm glad I bought it.

out of 5 starsAnother classic Tardis means...., - By Jakeobb
...another forty quid.
If any more come out I might have to sell a major organ.
Doctor Who: Action Figures: Sixth Doctor & Stealth Cyberman- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsCheeky..., - By Jakeobb
...very cheeky indeed. So what you'd be wanting me to part with my hard earned £25 for is essentially the same figure I already own plus a cyberman (which I also already own) with a very slight paint job. Oh and let's not forget the tiny little tracking device....
Hmmm.... think I'll pass on this one.
I guess it's a good thing that this representation of Colin Baker's doctor is back in circulation but aside from that I think this two figure set is not, to put it nicely, the best release we have seen from Underground Toys.To be honest I'm relieved, as this hobby for collecting these classic series figures is getting quite expensive, so I can relax when it's a release that I feel is not worth having, saves me a bit of cash!
Doctor Who: Action Figures: Fifth Doctor (Regeneration Burgundy Outfit)- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsHa!, - By Jakeobb
I admire this seemingly ongoing quest to document all the many variations of the Doctor in figure form. It reminds me of my youth when me and my cousins manage to collect all the original Star Wars figures, even the most absurd peripheral characters who did nothing in the films, we had to have them to complete the collection.
I did have to laugh though when I saw this version of Peter Davison, depicting him in the Tom Baker outfit he wears briefly in Castrovalva. I mean, who wants this? Even a die-hard collector like me is going to turn a blind eye to this one.
Anyway as I feel that particular story was pretty awful I wont be investing in something that reminds me of it.
I'm going to hold out for a jacket-less and scarf-less version of Tom Baker from the Ark in Space, perhaps with the addition of a light sweat on his forehead. Or maybe a Tom is his Viking outfit that he wears for 30 seconds in the story Robot.Ha! I'm only half joking.
Doctor Who: Action Figures: Dalek Progenitor Guardian- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsyou again?, - By Jakeobb
Read 'Dalek Progenitor Guardian' as, 'same dalek that's been released hundreds or times already but re-packaged for the series 5 wave 2 figure range.'
How about instead of this we could of had a nice new-look Silurian, or perhaps a new River Song? I dunno, just a thought.
Doctor Who: Action Figures: Fourth Doctor in Burgundy Outfit & K-9: Warrior's Gate- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsLovely., - By Jakeobb
What a nice little set, Tom looks great with his expression captured perfectly, and this representation of K-9 is also very satisfying.
Of course in real life Tom Baker was never so keen on his mechanical dog companion so it's amusing that he's trapped in a plastic box alongside him, it makes his solemn face that much more fitting.
So I've given this star set one short of a five star rating as there is no sonic screwdriver, however there is one featured in the pictures... Or perhaps it was just absent from my set.
Anyway well done on this one, love that the scarf is also removable, a nice addition to the classic collection!
Doctor Who: 2011 Wave 2 Action Figures: 11th Doctor & Doctor Flesh Mask- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsThe best yet., - By Jakeobb
As a collector / 30 year old man who is probably emotionally compensating for something by owning so many plastic toys, I'm always interested in the latest releases and the variations on the pre-existing figure designs.
When I saw this latest batch I was in two minds over purchasing this one of the 11th Doctor, as from glancing at the picture it appears the only difference with this version of Matt Smith is that he has a blue shirt. However when I got to inspecting it in the flesh (as it were) I was very impressed. The sculpt on the face is simply the best Character Options have ever done. Put against the others and it's a remarkable improvement. Also there is now a joint at the shoulder that moves, giving him even more movement. And as for the shirt, well to top it all off it's a lovely blue.
So in summary a fantastic figure, well done Character Options.
Doctor Who: Action Figures: River Song Pandorica Chair- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsNice, but at a price., - By Jakeobb
A nice little set, as another reviewer has said, it is a tad pricey,(with p+p charges through Forbidden Planet it costs just under £30).
It's also a little disappointing that once it's attached to the Pardorica panels you can't display it with walls open, as they just sort of slant or just fall off.
Also it would of been great to see some lights to feature in the chair, instead of the stickers of lights.
But aside from that a nice piece. Overpriced, but nice.
Doctor Who: Action Figure Collectors Set: Attack Of The Cybermen 1985: Peri & Rogue Cyberman (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)- All reviews of this product

Peri in a pink outfit and a Cyberman with a bit of green on him? For just under £30? No thanks.
Doctor Who: Action Figure Collectors Set: Image Of The Fendahl (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsNo., - By Jakeobb
Please don't exploit fans of a TV show. We're not made of money and as a Doctor Who toy collector I have noticed the quality of these classic sets decline but the price just go up and up.
This set (once you factor in postage and packing costs) is just under £40. £40 for two figures? That is crazy. I just won't/can't pay these sort of prices.
Doctor Who: Action Figures Collectors Set: The Seeds Of Doom: 4th Doctor & Krynoid 2 Pack (Forbidden Planet Exclusive)- All reviews of this product
out of 5 starsNo., - By Jakeobb
Rather than stating the obvious negatives with this two figure set, I'd like to say how happy I am that the quality of Character Options Doctor who classic range has nose dived so dramatically. I've saved a small fortune on all the lazy variants, repackaged old figures and laughably bad releases (a Time Monster set without a Time Monster...?). In fact I can't remember the last release I though was worth getting.
These releases used to be my financial Achilles heel, I just had to get them. But as the quality has got worse and worse my finances have got better and better!
Thank you Character Options and Forbidden Planet, keep up the bad work, I need the cash!
