I picked this up after visiting a signing at Forbidden Planet in London to meet with Jeremy "Boba Fett" Bulloch and get myself a copy - though I'd heard next to nothing about the show I am happy to report I really enjoyed it! Seemingly coming from nowhere, the show has amazing production values, with top-notch CGI and great sets - all according to the making-of built on a shoestring in a warehouse somewhere in Bristol!! Claudia and especially Jeremy Bulloch are fantastic and great fun as the ships captain and doctor respectively and the rest of the oddball crew carry us through a series of increasingly hilarious and twisted storylines before we arrive at the final cliffhanger of episode six - I just hope they get the second season they deserve in order to resolve it!
Unfortunately, Danny John Jules only has a small cameo, but there are lots of surprise appearances along the way and all of the cast do a good job.
I'm surprised there's only negative reviews on this site so far - okay, so of course it's not for everyone, but then, what is? If you're a sci-fi fan I encourage you to give this a try!
