A simply brilliant slice of Imperial Tom era Doctor Who when the show shifted away from gothic horror and into the worlds of fantasy. Tom Baker, joined by the gorgeous Mary Tamm as Romana and the redoubtable K9 have to search for the Key to Time before the Black Guardian gets his evil mitts on it.
There's plenty to enjoy here, Robert Holmes delivers two fantastic scripts with The Ribos Operation and Power of Kroll (featuring Doctor Who's biggest ever monster). Douglas Adams writes the fantastic Pirate Planet, when he was still writing the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy (see some jokes crossover in the writing!) while David Fisher delivers some classic sci-fi horror with The Stones of Blood.
Fantastic extras accompany the set (as always) and give a great insight into this classic piece of late seventies Doctor Who.
