Brutal and definitely for "mature" readers, this one definitely turns the series on it's head.
I don't want to say more for risk of spoiling things, but if you've read the earlier installments then definitely pick this one up!
This is certainly one of them.
I'm not sure what you expect from a novelization of a film based on a comic/cartoon based on a toy - but this is actually a surprisingly entertaining read..
Not bad for the price!
Which is pretty much all I needed to enjoy this book. But the characters were actually pretty convincing and there was enough drama, tension and violence to keep me hooked.
All in all, one of the better 40k titles I've read.
Now sitting proudly on a shelf next to various other Enterprises I've collected over the years.
Modelling is pretty neat and the quality is certainly as you would expect for the price - that is to say it looks great!
I didn't realise the saucer section separated.. Gave me a bit of a fright when i first inspected it (i.e. ran around the room holding it aloft and making Whooosh! noises) but that just adds to the ship's WOW! factor in my opinion :D
Absolutely atrocious characters in the film. And yet at the same time, these figures are actually pretty neat and it's two for the price of one...
So now I'm in a bit of a quandary.. Does this mean I like the twins or not? That's not really the point of the review though I guess..
The figures are cool, pretty easy to transform (unlike some of the other TF figures I could name) and have that added advantage of not being able to speak like they can in the film.
Brilliant.
But now I can pretend he can!
It's awesome!
Now if I can just find a medallion to match, the whole office will be fooled into believing Jim really did fix it for me to be launched from a cannon into the stratosphere whilst riding a golden eagle and wearing a pirate hat.
You'd think people would believe that without any evidence anyway, wouldn't you...
Presumably for comedic effect when walking..?
The feet kinda spoil this a little bit as it's a bit tough to position the figure in a cool pose.
However it comes with quite a few neat accessories, like playing cards, knives, the bank robber mask (sure there are more but I can't remember what off the top of my head).
It's a great figure - from the ankles up.
