Despite the endless amounts of 4th Doctor figures exploding from my collection, this addition is warmly welcomed. Of all the 4th Doctors that have been released, I can't see any that are the same and this one is no exception. At first, I was a little nervous about this set as there was another set like this from the Jon Pertwee era but great care has been taken to make the Sontaran and it's space ship look completely different to the "Time Warrior" set. I am pleased to be able to add this to my collection and I am certain that you would be too. As much as I love the Dalek sets, it is good to have a change and this set is perfect for just that. More like this please!

Bought this set for my son today and he cried with disappointment. At £35 I nearly cried myself! He was so disappointed with the spaceship which is basically a football sprayed silver. The picture makes it look like it’s hollow and you can sit the figure inside, but it isn’t and you can’t. The seat is just a fake effect on the side of the ‘football’. Am thinking of taking a Stanley knife to it and cutting this piece out to make the sphere hollow so he can at least put the Sontaran inside, but I’m worried the ‘football’ will deflate. Big let down. Seriously. No pun intended. Though the Sontaran figure is excellent it would have been better on its own.

This set is quite exciting because we have in it, the first ever classic Sontaran. Plus, a Sontaran Space Pod which I've always wanted to have.
The Sontaran :
The Sontaran is an excellent figure, which a removable helmet and his little orange gun. The detail on this figure is excellent. Styre's face really does capture the classic look of a Sontaran which is brilliant. The little device on his belt is not removable, but that doesn't bother me. I'm not sure if he has an inaccurate number of fingers or not but I'd imagine it is correct. Overall, it is an excellent figure that I really love.
The Sontaran Ship :
The ship is huge, it is really massive. It is all one piece except for the door which is a seperate piece. The hinge on the door is quite dissapointng because it is quite obvious. On the base of the ship are the thrusters or jets. Inside the ship, the seat does look like a toilet but it is actually a seat. The only problem is on the door, at the bottom there is a number or a code on it that is painted black, and it is obvious, unrealistic and uneccesary. Unfortunately, Styre cannot fit inside.
The 4th Doctor :
The Doctor is a wave 1 model figure with some modifications. The tie has been painted red, and the shirt and jumper have been panted different, which the Doctor has never worn which is weird.
Overall, this is the greatest Doctor Who set ever and BUY IT, you will not regret it!
