  Before I start, I would like to say that I was waiting for it in the post for a long time because of the snow. And was it worth the wait! The FANTASTIC head sculpt is capturing every detail as Tom looks very different in season 18: hair going grey, curls starting to straighten and his skin is starting to sag. Brilliant!! The burgundy outfit is good but is missing some details such as the tartan lining and the shirt has no waist coat and no question marks on the lapels of the shirt.

  K-9 is just a standard series 2 K-9 and is a re-release not worth an extra five pounds I think. If they were going to do a K-9 release with a classic figure why not give it a classic paint job, dark grey. And where is the sonic screwdriver as pictured above?

  Overall great figure and thoroughly recommend.

  Firstly - this is probably THE best action figure portraying Tom Baker's likeness of all time - how refreshing to see a figure of the Fourth Doctor that a)has absolutely no resemblance to Gareth Hunt, and b)isn't sporting an inanely psychotic grin (and no toy manufacturer has ever got that grin quite right over the years!)

  Secondly - why, oh why, do Character Options insist on packaging a highly desirable figure with one that everybody probably already has, several times over! When the range had not long began, and I was collecting all the different characters (which I eventually gave up for reasons of space,budget and sanity) I ended up with an ARMY of Tenth Doctors - K-9 has been equally ubiquitous! The serious collector will end up with enough K-9s to open an intergalactic branch of Battersea Dogs Home. It wouldn't be so bad if the K-9 was actually of the same shade as in season 18, and the innards too - but they're not! It is simply a K-9 from the David Tennant sets, put in to bump up the price. I would rather have had a little sonic screwdriver instead, with a more modest price tag... or maybe an interchangeable Peter Davison head... I mean that would save having to fork out for a Fifth Doctor in Fourth Doctor clothes - that would have been a good idea wouldn't it, Character Options?

  However, it is worth getting for the Tom Baker head-sculpt alone!

  Just one other feature: he keeps falling off my shelf - is this intentional? If so, why didn't it say on the pack: complete with Pharos Project falling off action! That would almost have made up for the absent screwdriver - almost.

  Ok, there's a lovely new head sculpt that captures Tom's weariness and melancholy from series 18. There are a few innacuracies, however, as is to be expected from CO. The inside coat doesn't have the green/tartan lining, the shirt dollar is one whole thing, there's no waistcoat. Also, on the model I recieved, the scarf colours were reversed so that the lighter burnt orange and the burgandy were the wrong way around. One final thing, where was the sonic screwdriver??? It's advertised... But it's not included.

  However, on the whole this is a lovely little kit - the side of the lil tin doggy comes off if you push down the control panel, which is a nice touch.

  I'd recommend this one, most definatly.
