    Mmmm. Well, to say the least a bit disappointed.

    True the model is nicely made and to scale with the action figures. But the dismay on finding out that there is no illumination or sound fx is palpable. Indeed comparing this model to the Eccleston console of a few years ago, that one is superior in every way. Not to mention the same price as this one!

    I feel that it is essential that the advertising should state - no electronic parts - and no batteries required. It's the omission that is culpable.

    Seeing my Seven year old unwrap this toy in joy and then his realization that it didn't actually do anything was heart breaking. Especially as he had saved up for it and bought it himself.

    This is the toy he'll remember all his life as the biggest disappointment. This is the one where childhood's innocence began to pall and life's bleak uncaring tapestry began to unravel.

    Shame on you Character Options.

    It's a nice set. Smaller with more card inserts. It takes a more time to put together than the last one.
    Finally, No batteries are needed like the last one as there is no moving console column, flashing lights or noises. Nor panels to lift or buttons to press. My nephew prefers the last one as he can do more with it. Shame really.

    I feel I have to defend this item. I am a single mum and I bought this for my son for Christmas and yes ok it was a bit fidly to put togeher however, its very sturdy and if you could see the enjoyment my son has then its worth every penny.

    My son does have the 10th Doctor Tardis the lights and sounds one but he rarely puts them on.
    So if you have a Dr Who fan please buy this its super and gets their imaginations going. xxxxx
