Very happy to get a classic tardis to go with the classic figures and this one looks great. Beautiful sculpt. The only thing that lets the tardis down is the bright blue interior! I didn't expect a interior picture as the classic tardis interiors have always appeared dark when the door is open but they could have at least sprayed it black. Also the sounds are a bit to loud for the speaker so are very distorted but still all in all an object of immense beauty ((when the doors are closed).
Shame that the doctor is the same variant that has already been released twice and NOT in the correct costume for 'The Planet of Evil' episode that he's supposed to be from!

Amongst many, I asked for the Classic TARDIS and here it is - TA MUCHLY
The exterior is brilliant - particularly the lumpy bumpy paintwork look. Bit sad that there is no card insert featuring an interior view scene... weeps
Must admit that I daftly epected 'on par effects' with the flight controlled TARDIS... weeps again
BUT HEY... SOMEBODY LISTENED (TO A CERTAIN EXTENT)

I don't know what Character Options are trying to achieve with these TARDIS sets!
First of all, it's just too expensive.
The Fourth Doctor figure is the same as the first single release (Giant K1 Robot series) in 2008 and the set with the DALEK, Mummy & VOC Robot.
They should have done a new fourth Doctor for this set - I don't see the Planet of Evil theme, other than on the inside of the box.
A good themed fourth Doctor TARDIS set could have been Terror of the Zygons. The Doctor wears Tartan and beret for a short while.
Another theme could have been The Sontaran Experiment where the Doctor wears a big grey coat over his usual togs.
Both of my suggestions are simple variations - not a complete resculpt.
Whilst the single figure release is now sold out, when it was available, it was around £7. - £10., pricing the actual TARDIS in this set as £25. - £28.
If you missed out on this figure, then I wholeheartedly recommend you get the 4 figure set I mentioned above, rather than this.
You'll save yourself £10., and you may well be able to get the 10th Doctors TARDIS (Doesn't come with any figure) for a tenner at Toys R us! I got it at a TK MAXX for 8 quid. The differences are only minor and I really don't think the cost of this set warrants it.
...But maybe it's a good thing that they haven't included a new design/sculpt fourth Doctor in this set - meaning us fans won't have to drop £35 just to get him.
In conclusion, no real point to this set if you have the figure already and not enough differences to the TARDIS to justify the high price tag.
