In this exclusive Seventh Doctor Set from Underground Toys we present the Seventh Doctor action figure with Electronic Classic TARDIS as they appear in the ‘Curse of Fenric’. The Doctor comes with brown jacket, umbrella accessory and an Electronic TARDIS. The Classic TARDIS features opening left door with telephone cubby hole, a spring activated right hand door and features takeoff and landing light and sound effects.
This is the first time that an authentic Classic Tardis has been produced for the Character Option line of Doctor Who figures - something fans have been requesting for ages. We expect demand to be high so please order early.

I bought this when it first came out. I had an old Dapol Tardis and Sylvester from my childhood and when I heard about this set, was eager to purchase so I could place on my shelf at home for a bit of geeky nostalgia. The detail isn't 100% accurate but I don't mind. Yes it's expensive but I don't plan on collecting loads of these toys anyway. All that's missing is an Ace figure to go with it. Ace was one of my favourite companions. There's probably another dozen Tom Baker sets to come before any hint of an Ace figure!

No one seems to have pointed out that the thing that made the 80s prop distinctive from the two previous props (as well as the details looking more ornate,) was the Police public call Box signbox above the doors. On this CO toy they kept it as the 60s and 70s Tardis, surely it wouldn't have been that difficult to change to make it more authentic, especially seeing that people are willing to pay for that authenticity.

It's great having so many different Tardises available, but unfortunately they've gone for cost savings rather than authenticity and reused each box with a slightly different paint job and roof, but haven't changed the sign box, which for me spoilt it a little. Plus the 80's Tardis was a battered looking old thing, this just looks far too pristine. However I'm happy with it not having an interior background as it wasn't until the new series they started doing this.
Odd thing with the figure, I swear it looks like Tom Hanks, not Sylvester McCoy.
