Belasco kidnapped another generation of Xavier's mutant brood, and tortured them in an effort to locate Illyana's soul.

However, Illyana rescued some of the mutants, including the young Pixie and, sensing the girl's purity, crafted a plan to defeat her former mentor. Illyana used Pixie's innocent soul to create a bloodstone of her own, and allowing Pixie to create a soul dagger a miniature version of Illyana's old weapon. The mutants stormed Belasco's castle, and Pixie and Illyana used the dagger to destroy him once and for all. Victorious, Illyana cast the mutants back to earth, and now sits on throne of Limbo once again. S'ym and N'astirh stand by her side as loyal servants and behind her soulless eyes burn fires that even we demons have learned to fear. Illyana Rasputin rules Limbo once more. Tormented, evil, and in search of her soul, she schemes. And where we demons once were able to use our scrying pools to glimpse the future now, all we can see is an inferno.
