Customer Reviews
As a deprived child of the 60s/70s I viidly remember trying to win a Dalek Toy from one of those arcade penny grab machines - with NO success... weep
Now making up for lost time I revel in collecting these different 'incarnations' - only just outnumbered by the 'various guises' of the Doctor figure me thinks?
KEEP EM COMING!
This set is brilliant for those of you interested in the development of the Daleks throughout the ages, the accuracy and detail is great and probably the best you could get a Daleks, also with great possibility to a point in which it could pass for a mini replica of the actual prop with all the basic movements expected in even today’s Daleks For example
each one's head dome does a full 360 degree spin the guns and plunger are fully articulated although somewhat stiff at times probably due to the way it was packaged and the fact that figure is brand new.
The only flaw I would say is the information given about the Dalek invasion of earth Dalek as on the packaging it states that this Dalek is a Saucer Pilot Dalek yet it actually is an earlier and unpainted version of the supreme controller Dalek that features in the William Hartnell figure set, this confusion was due to the almost live conditions of Doctor Who in the 60’s and the Supreme controller was half painted in episode 2 (the one seen here) and then was fully painted in episode 3's (the one with the Hartnell set) this is explained in the informational text in the Dalek Invasion of Earth DVD.
Overall these figures are brilliant and are a great Doctor Who collectors must have with great attention to detail and articulation that any Dalek collector or Whovian would be proud to own!
