I maintain that Red Dwarf is the best TV series for sci-fi fans ever created. Having said this, I can't express how disappointed I was after buying this DVD. As a Californian buying it was my only way of watching it. The three episodes have a few glimmers of interest for fans and perhaps one decent joke. This was the best they could produce under their tight schedules and limited budget but it generally showed a lack of the inspired writing and acting that made this show the best. I can only hope they hold out for a real contract and serious backers to produce a ninth season. The special features were as bad as the show.
