It’s the postwar period in a place resembling the devastated Europe of the 1940s, and bandits and thugs have become a perpetual problem for a society without much food or hope.

In order to help bring order to the chaos, a division of the military known as the Pumpkin Scissors has been called to duty. Unfortunately, the operation does not run smoothly, and the aristocratic officers who make up the division are a joke among the people - that is, until one man enters the picture to bring respect and peace to the land.

This is the first volume of an anime that takes a fantastical approach to the images of post-WW II and twists them to create a unique series with strong characters and an addictive story line filled with comic touches.
