Annie Obaachan has some very adorable characters that she has created in this book. I tried 'Tanuki' the raccoon dog on page 66. The pattern is written in USA abbreviation. Easy to follow for me but may be odd if you are used to using the UK terminology. My raccoon dog turned out slightly different even though I followed the pattern to every row and stitch.I ended up with a smaller section that was orange on the face, the majority was red and therefore ended up making orange outer eyes and you would not be able to see them if I had made them in red . A minor thing, he still looks really cool.
I recommend this book for intermediate level crocheters.
