Visionaries

In this collection the writing is good, solid pulp stuff. It doesn't try to be hyper-realistic. We begin with the X-Men battling the Living Monolith, in what seems to have been a storyline in progress, which makes for a poor jump-in point, we then move onto the Sentinels, then the villainous Sauron makes his debut. The stories flow into each other in a breathless manner and there is strong characterisation of female and tough guy dialogue that hide their insecurities.
