Case Of The Bloody Iris

With its lurid cinematography, orchestral score, and ample bloodletting, Giuliano Carnimeo's glam-heavy splatterfest The Case of the Bloody Iris is a prime example of the Italian horror genre known as 'giallo'. Edwige Fenech plays a model who moves into the apartment of a recently slain dancer and fears she will be next on the killer's list. Carnimeo uses the killer's dementia to comment on the moral bankruptcy of a vice-ridden society while saturating the proceedings with plenty of gore and nudity.
