This new ongoing series from the UK-based cartoonist Matt Broersma begins a Hunter S. Thompson-ishly intense and atmospheric tale of intrigue, mystery and interlocking lives. The first issue follows Marco Clay, sometime bartender, petty criminal and insurance company accountant, as he walks a fine line between necessity and the Texas Highway Patrol. Fleeing to Mexico City, Clay may avoid the cops, but will he fall into the clutches of a drug-runner with a taste for floral-print shirts? This first self-contained instalment, part of a larger jigsaw, ranges from the highs of a caffeine rush to the depths of the human soul.
