There can only be one Metabaron. Each son must prove his worthiness by slaying his own father in mortal combat, thus proving that he has the strength of mind, body and soul to replace his father. This volume tells the story of Aghnar Castaka, son of the first Metabaron, Othon Von Salza. Aghnar faces danger and heartbreak as he takes on the heavy and dreadful mantle of the Metabaron at the cost of his life, his future, and his very soul.
