Powersat

America needs energy, and Dan Randolph has the solution. He dreams of powersats - satellites which gather solar energy and beam it to generators on Earth. But, after his experimental low-orbit space plane to breaks up on re-entry, he's left on the edge of bankruptcy.

Now, rivals want to buy Dan out. NASA and the FAA want to shut down his maverick firm. Creditors are breathing down his neck. And a terrorist orginisation sees the powersat as a threat to their oil-based power and have figured out how to use it as their weapon against the West.
