Angered by the unnecessary sacrifice of his love, Aldara, to the hideous god Madorak, Agon rejects the gods and sets out on a journey to reclaim Aldara's soul. Along the way, Agon is aided and sometimes hindered by Beluch, a lion-headed man with problems of his own.
